In this episode, we visited Eritrea, often called Africa’s most isolated country and sometimes compared to North Korea.
Life in this country is very different. There are no ATM machines, no internet on most SIM cards, and traveling from one city to another usually requires a government permit. Citizens also cannot leave the country without approval, and there have been no national elections since independence.
Despite these restrictions, Eritrea is considered one of the safest countries in Africa to visit.
